Scope

This policy applies to the website, calculators, account features, and any contact you have with us.

Data We Collect

• Usage data (pages visited, approximate device/OS, timestamps) to keep the service running and improve it.
• Consent status for cookies (functional/analytics/ads) stored in your browser.
• Account data when you sign in (email address, basic profile data) and saved calculator favorites.
• IP addresses in server logs temporarily for security.
• Content of your message if you email us.
• Donations are processed by Ko-fi/Stripe. We do not receive your payment details.

Sources

We collect data directly from you (forms, account sign-in), automatically (device and usage data), and from our service providers (authentication and hosting).

Purposes & Legal Bases

• Site operation and security (legitimate interest).
• Basic analytics/usage measurement (consent via CMP).
• Advertising (personalized or non-personalized) via Google/partners (consent via CMP).
• Responding to your messages (legitimate interest or performance of your request).

Cookies & Tracking

We use Google Funding Choices (CMP ID: 300) under the IAB TCF framework to collect consent. Strictly necessary cookies always run. Analytics and advertising cookies only run if you consent. See the Cookie Policy for details.

Recipients

Hosting providers, authentication providers (Supabase, Google OAuth), and analytics/advertising partners according to your consent choices. We do not sell personal data.

International Transfers

Some providers (e.g., Google) may process data outside the EEA. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards where required.

Data Retention

Server logs up to 12 months. Analytics follow tool defaults (e.g., 26 months). Account data and favorites are kept until you delete them or your account. Email correspondence lasts only as long as needed for follow-up or legal obligations.

Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit, and row-level security to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep data safe.

Your Rights

You can request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).

Additional Rights (Outside the EEA)

Depending on your location (e.g., the United States), you may have additional privacy rights. We handle requests in line with applicable law.

Children

The service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
